Das ist richtig, muss aber flankiert werden von einer grundlegenden Reform der Europäischen Union, die sich in einer prekären Lage befindet. Und darf kein Ersatz für militärische Hilfe sein. Europäische Union : Die EU müsste sich bei einem Ukraine-Beitritt neu erfinden In Brüssel und in manchen westlichen Mitgliedsstaaten hat sich eine politische Kultur durchgesetzt, die man als postdemokratischen Liberalismus bezeichnen kann. Dem haben in den vergangenen Jahren einige Länder Ostmitteleuropas, allen voran Ungarn und Polen, ihre Version einer „illiberalen“ Demokratie entgegengesetzt. Russische Propaganda im Westen : Warum ein Verbot von RT und Sputnik trotzdem falsch wäre Die EU hat angekündigt, die russischen Staatsmedien RT, früher Russia Today, und Sputnik zu verbieten. Es klingt nach einem sinnvollen Schritt, um der russischen Kriegspropaganda Einhalt zu gebieten. Grundfalsch wäre diese Zensurmaßnahme trotzdem. Nicht nur wegen der Presse- und Meinungsfreiheit, die auch für Falsch- und Fehlinformationen gilt. Sondern auch mit Blick in die Zukunft: Denn wer einmal zensiert, wird es wieder tun.
